Christmas is coming! I bet you’re sick of hearing that already, aren’t you? Sorry. My point is; it’s time to start thinking of our Christmas outfits, makeup looks, and hair styles. That way, we can be prepared. We might worry about burning the stuffing or forgetting the turkey, but at least we will look fabulous! Use my beauty guide to give you some ideas for Christmas:
If you don’t already, start exfoliating to give yourself a gorgeous glow before Christmas. This goes for both your body and face. You should use special products for both, as body products can be too harsh on the face. The amount you exfoliate will depend on your skin type and how sensitive you are. Sometimes, once per week is enough. Other times, you may need to do it 3 times per week.
Practice a Sunkissed Glow
If you’re a little pale this time of year, you might want to practice achieving a sunkissed glow for a healthy look. All you need for this is a bottle of light self tan and a lot of patience. You may also want to use a mitt to avoid orange palms. Take it slowly, and make sure you’re applying the product evenly and thoroughly. I find that standing in front of a mirror can help!
Apply a Hair Treatment
Weekly hair treatments will transform your hair from drab to fab in just a couple of weeks. If you want a gorgeous style on Christmas day, then make sure you’re treating your hair with the respect it deserves. Don’t use too much heat, use conditioning products, and be gentle with it.
Keep Up Your Skincare Routine
This time of year can be stressful and tiring, but don’t forget to keep up your skincare routine! Make sure you always take your makeup off before bed, and cleanse, tone, and moisturise. Use products that suit your individual skin type for the best result.
Give Yourself a Mani Pedi
We all need a nice mani pedi in time for the Christmas celebrations.and use a high quality polish to make sure it lasts, and prep your nails beforehand. Push back your cuticles and buff your nails to get them ready for polish application. If you’re a bit clueless when it comes to this, treat yourself with a salon visit. Happy Christmas to you!
Be Daring: Try Festive Makeup!
Why not try festive makeup to make a statement? This could be something as simple as using a glitter liner rather than a plain one to enhance your eyes and give yourself a bit of a shimmer. You could even apply some Eyelure falsies to fake the long lash look. It’s always nice to keep things playful with your makeup around Christmas time.
Try to Detox
This time of year is full of food and alcohol. Try to detox as early on as you can. This way, you’ll enjoy all of your treats a lot more, and you won’t find it too difficult to detox again and flush out those toxins after Christmas. Detox and you won’t feel so guilty about indulging!
Are you excited yet? I know I am!
