Being a working mother life is a non-stop bustle of tasks and duties. Trying to juggle these with work can be stressful to say the least. But it’s part of the process, and I’m thankful for it. But some days are, of course, more difficult than others. All mothers will encounter this at some point in their lives, and it’s important not to let it get you down.
Once you know what to expect you can plan for it, so the process becomes much less stressful. Take my essential daily or weekly duties as a mum, for instance. On any given day or week, I have a load of mum related tasks I need to complete. I’m getting the hang of these more and more each day. But they can still be time-consuming. But once you know what to expect you can set aside time to do them.
So here’s a list of some of my mum related tasks. These are tasks you might also carry out. So try to prepare for them the best you can.
Pocket money is something that’s become common for parents to give their children. And while I do give pocket money I believe in making my kids earn it through chores. This teaches them a good work ethic and also shows them the value of money. They need to know that money isn’t an entitlement but something that needs to be earned. This is a great way to subtly give your kids some life lessons.
Changing the Kids Beds
We’ve all been there, and we’ll continue to be. The children’s beds will need changing on a weekly basis. This means having fresh bedding. And this might mean having to buy some from sites like www.richardhaworth.co.uk. You don’t want to be in a position where you only have one set of bedding per child. This way you’ll be forever washing, and I don’t know about you, but I do enough of that as it is!
Spending Time as a Family
As a mother, it’s important to take time each day to spend with the kids. I’m a working mum and having kids as well makes for a busy schedule. But I still value the importance of spending time with the kids. Family time builds a strong bond and teaches the children the value and importance of family. I like toor family holidays whenever I can.
You’re also going to need to factor in mealtimes for the children. Kids can be fussy when it comes to their meals. As a mum, you need to come up with exciting and fun menus for the children. Because they need to have stimulation it might be a good idea to try to provide some variety. You need to make sure you give your kids healthy food as well as varying what they have. Make mealtimes fun for the children, give them food they enjoy that’s also going to be good for them. This will instill in them the value of healthy eating and it’ll encourage them to eat more fruit and vegetables.
